2024-2025 Youth Basketball - Winter 2024

The 2024-2025 Season will have divisions for Boys in 1st thru 6th Grades and Girls in 1st thru 6th Grades with Co-Ed 7/8th Grades.  Practices begin the week after Thanksgiving (Dec. 2).  There are no practices during holiday breaks or days AISD is closed (Staff only days we do have access to gyms so there will be practices). Practices are held weeknights and are selected by the volunteer parent or HS player coaches.  We cannot guarantee practice dates/times but if you want to volunteer to coach, you can select what works for you! 

We use a coach "snake" draft process to have parity across all teams, so we cannot accept friend or rideshare requests. Twins will be drafted together.

There are minimum of 8 Season games that will be played on 6 consecutive Saturday's, Jan. 11th thru Feb. 15. Each team will have at least 2 double header game days (dependent on number of teams we have in each division).  

Player Evaluations are set for Sunday, Nov. 10th for grades 1-6 (location/times will be announced on home page calendar and via email to registrants and will be in the afternoon).  Each division/grade will have a time slot as posted on the calendar details for that event.  All players will make a team but any new players that do not attend evaluations will automatically be blind drafted (drawn from a hat) to a team, returning players that do not attend evaluations will be at volunteer grade level commissioner discretion if they are eligible to be drafted.

Pre-Season Jamboree will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024 - All teams

Practices end for holiday break on 12/19 and resume the week of 1/6 - each team will have 1 guaranteed practice evening per week with an optional 2nd practice date as space is available.
